PostSubject: Worrywart Mom   Sun Jan 28, 2007 7:17 am

My geometry mid-term is around the corner. My mother is very worried and has been very vocal about it. I think it is because I failed my Unit 3 Exam. I felt very stupid for failing in geometry, because I usually get good grades in all the other subjects. So, I told her about it. Now she is worried that I will bomb the mid-term exam and has been nagging me about it. I consider it nagging because it seems like she pops into my room every 10 min. to ask me if I'm studying. I am studying, but apparently, she expects me to do it every waking hour. It is very annoying, but if I tell her that, she'll throw a fit and become impossible to reason with. I know she means well, but it's still annoying.
Any advice as to how to ace the exam AND get her to stop doing that?

Ask her why she thinks that you arent going to pass the test. Tell her that you are confident that you are going to pass the test and that her asking you every waking hour to study is making it harder. If that doesnt work try to make a deal with her. Maybe like if she can sit down and help you study for 1-2 hours aday. and than thats it!

Hope I heped! Razz
