Probably one of the most common bad habits. I have unfortunately been doing it for nearly 5 years. My nails are stubs. I have tried doing things that keep my hands busy, like knitting, but I still do it. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

I bite my nails too. The only thing I can think of is pant them. That helped me quit. Or go get a manicure. When I wanted to quit biting my nails I got some cool looking nail polish, painted them, and when I went to bite them I got a mouthful of nail-polish. It was nasty.

Eww, yeah, maybe I should try that, nail polish tastes nasty.

i always bite my nails if i paint them i pick the paint off lol i finally found sumthing else I keep my hands occupied I snap hair bands on my wrist (thats for another reason too) so i have like 5 hair ties on my wrist all the time lol or i just pet my dogs just find silly things lol

1st of all...Y do u chew ur nails?? is it bcuz ur bored, or is it 4 other reasons?? do u find urself doing it wen ur bored? i know that i twirl my hair wen im bored...

I used to chew pencils...I quit very quickly, though, cause they taste woody and nasty, plus people didn't want to handle any of my pencils after that.

I bite my nails too... I've been biting them since I was 6. I dont know why... My mom once threatened to stick them in dog crap.... but that didnt last, and I dont know how to quit.... lol, its been a long time and I want to quit, but its very hard.....
